NYSCI After Dark 2019 Schedule

April 24 — Sustainable Spring Break Late
5 – 7pm
We are extending museum hours to allow for more family fun and exploration of our Sustainable Spring Break projects by current NYSCI Designers-in-Residence tackling climate change with alternative energy sources, planting practices and soil studies. Join us for the launch of Krystal Persaud’s Rainbow Power. Visit Marco Castro Cosio’s ice cream truck, which has been turned into a mobile garden with its green roof.
To sustain you through your play, our dining partner, Butter Beans, will have a pop-up stand.
Free with NYSCI admission.

June 27 — Bug Night
6:30 – 9:30 pm
Are you prepared to be reintroduced to insects – as “edible” insects? Join us for an interactive and engaging evening curated by Brooklyn Bugs to challenge your perception of insects.  This once-in-a-lifetime menu will feature eight delicious courses of insect hors d’oeuvres and specialty bug cocktails! Can you eat your way through the entire evening without bugging out? The night will include interactive stations featuring: Louis Sorkin’s Insect Petting Zoo, painting with live bugs, Burroughs Bees, insect discovery stations, and much more!
Advance online tickets (on sale beginning April): $20/$15 for NYSCI members
At the door: $25/$20 for NYSCI members

July 20 — Apollo 11 50th Anniversary

Join NYSCI in celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11 at this late-night family affair.
